EMBERSTONE is amongst one of India’s first registered SM-REITs. The Trust is formed in India and has been established as a contributory, irrevocable, and determinate trust under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, to carry on, through its various schemes, the investment activities as permissible under the REIT Regulations. The Trust may launch multiple schemes to achieve its investment objectives.

The Trust’s principal place of business is the 6th Floor, VB Capitol Building, Range Hill Road, Opp. Hotel Symphony, Bhoslenagar, Shivaji Nagar, Pune – 411007, Maharashtra, India.

The Trust shall carry on the activities of an SM REIT, through its respective scheme/s, as permissible under the REIT Regulations and for these purposes to acquire, own, manage, and make investments in a diversified portfolio of rent/revenue-generating properties to maximize rental yields for the investors, by the REIT Regulations.

The Trust shall raise funds through the schemes to acquire rent/revenue generating properties and make investments by the REIT Regulations and the investment strategy as set out under the respective scheme offer documents and to carry on the activities as may be required for operating the Trust/ scheme/s of Trust, including incidental and ancillary matters thereto.

The investment objectives of the Trust and its schemes include the following:

(a) To make investments or re-investments as an SM REIT through one or more schemes in a portfolio of rent/revenue generating properties and to make investments in units of overnight or liquid mutual fund schemes, fixed deposits, government securities, treasury bills, and repo on government securities, as permitted under the REIT Regulations;

(b) To hold amounts pending investment or distribution or as a reserve of a scheme’s anticipated obligations, as permitted under the REIT Regulations;

(c) To make distributions to the investors of the schemes of the Trust in the manner as prescribed under the REIT Regulations; and

(d) To carry on generally such other activities as may be permitted under REIT Regulations.
